Southwest Georgia Interstate Study
In 2009, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), in association with its transportation partners completed the Southwest Georgia Interstate Study and investigated needs for improving Southwest Georgia’s access and connectivity to intestates in the region including I-185, I-75 and I-10. The study looked at current and future traffic conditions in the region, identified needed projects, estimated costs for any new projects or roadways and made recommendations..
