Honors and Awards:
Recipient of the Hubert H. Humphrey Award in 2001 and is the only Georgia resident honored to date. Named for Hubert H. Humphrey, a noted pharmacist and former Vice President of the United States, was established in 1978 to recognize American Pharmacists Association (APhA) members who have made major contributions in government or legislative service at the local, state or national level.
Recipient of the Bobby Parham Good Government award in 2005 (created for Mr. Parham, 1st recipient, to be given for outstanding service in the field of pharmacy)
Recipient of the Georgia Military College Service award in 2001
Recipient of the William Bone Golden Key Award from the GA College & State University in 2002
Recipient of numerous other Outstanding Leadership and Distinguished Service awards Author of the Generic Drug bill for the state of GA Instrumental in obtaining state funds for the restoration of “Old Governor’s Mansion”, also funds for GA Military College, GA College & State University, employees for state of GA and the new Vo-Tech school.
Several buildings honor Mr. Parham including Parham cafeteria at CSH, and Parham Hall at GA Military College.
