Grants

GATEway Grants
The GATEway Grant Program provides funding for roadside enhancement and beautification projects along Georgia’s roadsides. 

Livable Centers Initiatives (LCI)
The Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) is a program that awards planning grants on a competitive basis to local governments and nonprofit organizations to prepare plans for the enhancement of existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.

 

Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) Program
Local governments can submit their requests for local transportation needs through the LMIG Program.  This program replaces both the State Aid and Local Assistance Road programs.

Federal Funding

Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ)
The CMAQ Program provides funding assistance to areas designated as non-attainment by the EPA. 

Local Administered Project Manual and Certification
This manual covers uniform practices for authorizing qualified Local Public Agencies (LPA) to manage core activities for Federal-aid funded projects.

Safe Routes to School (SRTS)
The SRTS Program is designed to increase the number of children in grades K-8 who bicycle and walk to school.

Stimulus Package

Transportation Enhancement (TE) Projects
The TE Program allows public agencies (local and state) and universities to apply for federal funds for community-oriented projects that provide connectivity, beautify neighborhoods and highlight culture and heritage.
