Improvement Programs

Governor's Road Improvement Program (GRIP) 
Program is designed to connect 95% of our state's cities (with a population of 2,500 or more) to the Interstate System. 

Radial Freeway Strategic Improvement Plan
This plan provides a comprehensive understanding of Georgia's transportation system current and future needs.

Grants

Congestion Reduction Demostration (CRD)
The USDOT awarded a $110 million Congestion Reduction Demonstration (CRD) Program grant to the Atlanta region to implement an integrated system of congestion-priced lanes, enhanced transit service and innovative technology.

GATEway Grant Program
This program assist communities in their efforts to beautify roadsides along state routes.

Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) Program
Local governments can submit their requests for local transportation needs through the LMIG Program.  This program replaces both the State Aid and Local Assistance Road programs. 

Transportation Enhancement
The program enriches the traveling experience of motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians through enhancements to Georgia's  transportation system.
