Wayne County Multimodal Transportation Study
In 2008, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Wayne County worked together diligently to develop a countywide transportation plan aimed at addressing the transportation needs of Wayne County for the next 20 years.
The study focused on improving connectivity and access to important locations in the entire County, such as downtown areas, schools, government buildings, major employment centers, industrial areas, parks, and other important locations. The study also considered the movement of people as well as goods (freight). This effort was fully coordinated with other local, regional, and statewide plans pertaining to Wayne County.
The consulting firm of RS&H was selected to provide services to support these planning efforts. The study was completed in February 2009. A link to the final study document is provided.
